  WASHINGTON, DC – The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is looking for over 9,000 New Yorkers who are due to receive a combined $14.5 million in the form of refund checks that were returned to the IRS by the U.S. Postal Service due to mailing address errors. 900 of those refunds belong to taxpayers on Long Island.

  Affordable Health Care for America Act: As a longtime nurse, Rep. McCarthy has seen first-hand the strengths and deficiencies of our health care system. There are a number of strengths but unfortunately, there are significant deficiencies as well.  Many Americans, both those with and without health insurance, are denied full access to our healthcare system.  I believe that it is long past time to reform our healthcare system – to build on what is working and to fix what is not working.  Click here to read the Affordable Health Care for America Act and for more information about comprehensive reform.
